Hm... my friend referred me to a site for an interesting news posted in ChinaPress yesterday. The content was basically talked about our Visit Malaysia Year 2007. There were reports shown that tourism business was not as good as they expected.
And then this Tunku - Ministry of tourism; whoever la! Said all the reports were not true, and make alots of complaints saying why people only reports negative comments rather than positive? Ok, let me elaborate more here;
1) Malaysia been rated as the most expensive city to visit, ranked 88th, Singapore ranked 14th. Tunku said, that was not true and told the press that we are the cheapest city, where as Bali and Sg ranked at 2nd and 3rd.
Me: Well, as he mentioned in US we are the cheapest, alright!!! he never use calculator to count hor?? Different currency what?? SGD - 2.2 (approximately) Bali - USD current conversion rate - 3.5 For an American, when they compared which city is cheaper, sure we WIN la! Com'on! he never attended mathematic class hor??
2) Long queue in the airport and long waiting time. Tunku replied that when we have more tourists; it is a positive sign why only reports the CONS?
Me: He was right by saying it should be a positive sign when our business turned good. Of course, with the 70% off from MAS who can resists? Then again, i must say if you want to have promotion then please prepare for the volume to avoid waiting time.
Let me give you an example, McD promotion for Hello Kitty toy back in 1999. I was a counter crew and all of us were given briefing on what time to report to work and the working allocation. We worked from 630am to 1130pm daily for that entire promotion period. Reason was to minimize long waiting time and complaints from customers. The volume was too high, we couldnt cut short anyway.
MAS or somehow our KLIA management should learn this and do something about it to avoid waiting time. And also please train your custom and airport staffs to smile, otherwise tourists might think they are not welcomed. As a Malaysian we had already GET USED to their RUDENESS but not a foreigner.
I was told by my colleague MAS cabin crews differentiate passengers by skin color. If you are 'white' skin you tend to get more attention. Somemore she was sitting in business class, when all passengers paying the same fare, why treat them differently? She told me after that bad experience, she never want to fly with MAS again. Understood, even an International Airlines could do that, what would you expect then?
Lastly, Tunku said most of the bloggers are jobless, and out of 10k writers, 8k are women; bloggers cant be trusted, dont rely on what they write.
Ahem, jobless heh?? May i ask most of my readers and to those who also write your own blog; do you have a job?? Tunku ar Tunku, please lar! We are all well educated with a degree or min a diploma from college or Universities. We are all working with stable income and PAYING TAX!
And why you said most of the bloggers are ladies?? Oh yes, most of the ladies never attended to school, and so they are non educated and jobless. Therefore they got nothing to do and write alot of articles and post in their blog. YEA RIGHT! WE ARE JOBLESS TUNKU!
WHO THE HELL YOU THINK YOU ARE? WHO ARE YOU TO CRITIC WOMEN? YOUR WIFE ALSO A WOMEN ARENT SHE? Oh, his wife is well educated and got a job so got no time to write blog. We write blog on what we see from a citizen perspective. When we feel like writing, we write. To me, i dont really care who is the person i write. Be it my mom, my boy friend or government. And yea lor, i am jobless and so bloody free. I am now an addict of blogging. I cant stop writing nowadays. If you had noticed i have massive 'production' lately. For this month, today is 9th of Mar and i had posted 7 articles. I almost write everyday. Yea, i am jobless ma, so ma very free lor!
If you think we are liar, then prove to the media press that we really lie. Then again, they just cant, saying something with your mouth but not execute it can only provoke your people! If you want to improve your country, please have all your airport staffs trained. And dont forget the taxi and bus drivers? Those people selling food or drinks in airport? If this also cannot be done then please prepared for the fight between bloggers. Remember we as a blogger also a normal citizen, people trust us more than you TUNKU!
