True friends

Hey finally I found something meaningful (at least i find this meaningful) to share here. Oh, this is a long entry. Alright, let’s start here. Every one of us has friends. Friends from the dictionary quoted as 1 a person that you know and like (not a member of your family), and who likes you; 2 a friend of or to sth a person who supports an organization, a charity; especially by giving money; a person who supports a particular idea.

Friend; can be divided to different categories; we have normal friends, sincere friends, nasty friends and so so friends. May be more types but these are the terms that I am able to come out with at this moment. Then again which one is our true friend? Some says I have a lot of friends, but how many of them is my true friend? We do not need many but 1 or 2 true friends in our life is enough. It doesn’t carry any meaning if you have whole bunch of friends but when you are in a deep shit situation, your brain suddenly gone blank! Because you do not know who to call (other than your boy/girl friend) asking for help, console or may be borrow some money. Poor you!

Normal friend
A friend that you used to call; or he/she used to call you out for lunch, dinner or sometimes clubbing but this person is not the one you will call for help if your car breaks down in the middle of the night; or when you need a shoulder to lean on where and when you need one.

Sincere friend
This person is truly sincere to you regardless you like him or not. He/she will do anything just to make you feel happy. He/she doesn’t care whether the so called sacrifice or contribution worth or not but they do just for your own good. They will never ask for rewards and return or even a thank you from you. Wow, sounds really sincere ler! I guess this person is quite dumb huh!! Nowadays still got sincere friend meh??? :O May be i should changed the word sincere to dinosaur. :D

Nasty friend
Hm….he/she might be a hardcore person who brought you to Ecstasy area, offer you heavy alcohols drinks, and cigarettes (if you don’t smoke). Sorry I am not saying smokers are nasty but if you know I am not smoking then just don’t offer me and leave me alone! They lie to you, they can be very nice in front of you but at the other hand they say something bad about you and trying to spoil your reputation. (if you have a reputation)

So so friend
This one ar…I guess most of our so called friends are from this category. So so means, he/she doesn’t carry any weight in your heart. As if this person died you will not feel any sad at all. You will just say “Hi!” “Bye, see you next time!” (but you don’t know when would be the next meeting) “How are you? It has been long time since the last time we met.” See, you don’t keep in touch with this person at all. He or she married? Changed job? Shifted to some other place? Graduated from University? You know nothing about him/her.

I have true friends, really I am. I knew this guy for the pass 10 years. He used to encourage me, console me and I know who to call when I am in deep shit. Another friend who is now working in S’re. He used to be my brother and I really like him. He makes joke around me, talks bad things about me but then again when any guys hurt me he always be the first to console me because his words are powerful.

The type of person who I do not like to talk about is LIAR. Or may be I must say they are actor/actress. They can act very close to you to gain your trust but the other hand they USED your trust to them to attack you. Ops… they are categorized as nasty friend. Yes, they are very close to you in front of everyone but internally you cannot figure out what is the degree of their HATE to you. Everyone hurts, yes I did….many times be it from relationships, from friends who you really trusted or from family. Conflicts are all around it depends on how you deal with those. Nasty friends are all around; you will not know when they will attack you because people like them are great actor/actress.

I do not wish to keep in touch with any of my nasty friends after I discovered the truth but... i am very good in acting too… :D but this time I will be extra careful. May be one day I might need their help in any manner. (but I don’t think I will call them for help) but who knows what happen next? Yes, this is life cycle; we just need to learn from mistakes. Always learn and don’t stop that. Huh? To continue get hurt and learn meh? No lar, you guys know what I mean.

Another type of friend is our boy friend (I am talking about Ex boy friend). Boy friend stands for closer friend who you will wish to have intimacy moment with him, you will miss him, call him, hug him, kiss him, and share everything with him. Perhaps he is the best guy in this world to you (in any manner) when you are in love. This is when both of you are so….in LOVE.
What happen when the love diminish from any of you? You started to spot his weaknesses; his tidiness; his bed room; his computer content; his table manners; the color of his teeth, his nails, his body odor…etc. Then you start to have quarrel with him, arguing, and sometimes yell at him. Until the moment he stop loving you, both of you will be separated and stop calling each other FOREVER! (I believe most of the guys don’t call their ex) See, this is the poor thing in our culture. I was talking to a friend (male) he said no point calling to ex girl friend if you do not have the intention to resume the relationship. If you call a lot, she ignores you. You never call, she said you are heartless. So what are guys supposed to do? I said call occasionally. Not weekly, not monthly, just call whenever you feel like want to call. Don’t call on a fixed day so that the girl will not expect calls from you. If you call, she feels very happy that you still keep her number in your phone. (Yes, i think that way) If you don’t call, she will not feel sad at all. I usually keep in touch with my ex, unless he doesn’t want to. My ex used to call me (most of time he calls); i appreciate the initiative for calling and every time he calls I feel VERY happy. Yes, he still keeps my number. There was once I deleted his number and I thought he will never call again (after a long period of time) so no point keeping it. Ops! Things always happen when you have the least expectation. So to all boy friends, one question, do you still keep your ex girl friend’s number? If yes, give her a call to check out how is she doing lately? Too shy to call? Send SMS lor.

I would like to share one of my experiences here. I was quite “active” in Friendster and I met this guy - *Ben (*name has been changed)
*Ben is a local guy who is working in London as a lab researcher with Unilever. He is a very smart guy with a PhD but I don’t know what his major is. We got along quite well and keep sending emails to each other. I used to check my mails everyday to see whether he replies or not. Later we started to have telephone conversations. He called me at least once a week from UK. I like him, honestly. I like to talk to him, writing mails to him and I keep thinking for our first meeting if he comes back to Penang for holiday. I know the long distance relationship is hardly work out if you do not have the strength for working it out. For me, this guy is just a friend that I would like to meet; just sit down and chit chat with him. Nothing more from that, I dare not think about relationship right now. Ok, we continued the phone conversations and chat online very frequently.

He used to tell me how important I am to him and he used to ask whether he can hold my hands when he meets me. I was like….??? I have not seen his physical face how am I going to answer? Alright, if I say “Yes, you may have my fingers around yours.” then I find myself too “chin chai” to let a guy to hold my hands lor. So I kept quiet and did not give him any answers. As we chat along I found this guy with very strong man pride. (i don't really like guys with pride) This definitely due to he is the only child in his family. He wants things to work on his way. He wants me to follow his instruction. He even suggested me to go UK and stay together with him. Huh??? Then I said (jokingly) “I go UK to do what?” Well, for me he is no one to me yet (sorry to say that) and we have not meet each other before. All i had from him are just WORDS. Well any trained monkeys can say the same thing to me, ok? How am I going to make that decision? I was like "Are you crazy?" I am very close to my mummy and I cannot just leave her here alone!!! I wonder one day if I get married (if I can find my right guy) I will get her to stay with me. Oh! If you are curious then my answer is yes, my father is no longer with us.

So, he was angry with my “do what?” statement. He said he felt hurt. Of course I cannot trust him 100%-ly. You guys and gals should get what I am trying to say here. I just need more time to explore whether this guy is my right guy or not before I step forward (As if i really want to go further with him). I know he was angry so I called him on the next day (called to UK). Hm….you know what? He refused to talk to me and said,"Hm... ok lor, i want to watch my football." So I hung up the phone very quickly. Ok, I tried my effort to show my sincere to be his friend and seem he wants everything to work in his style, his wish. I think this is not possible as the relationship between him and I not deep to that stage to talk about staying together and all that!! Since then he stop calling me, stop sending mails and even deleted his friendster account immediately. See! GUYS STOP BEING CHILDISH!!! Yes, for me this is a childish reaction, he cannot get me, he cannot get me to follow what he says so he is angry and stop talking to me. Just like that!!!

The friendship is over just because I said “do what?” Wow, very powerful word huh! I am the sharp needle which punched his man pride. Guys out there, please do not repeat the same thing like *Ben. Sometimes I am trying to be sincere but people mistreat me. Poor me!!! Never mind lar! It does not influence me at all and I should thank *Ben for teaching me a valuable lesson. Thanks to *Ben for knowing GUYS ARE CHILDISH!!

Ok, that is enough for today’s topic. I will try figure out and think something else to write. :D Urhg….dont envy me because I am bloody free for the next 7 days….HAHAHA
